What Makes You Excited About Life ?

Children are naturally excited about life. Lets rekindle that childhood spark together.

A lot of us get caught up in the daily grind of work and responsibilities. We are not really excited about Life.  Children on the other hand are naturally excited about Life. They love adventures, making things and discovering the world as it unfolds around them. Excitement about Life is built into each of us. It’s what dives us to venture into space and why we have produced so many amazing inventions and beautiful works of art over the centuries.

When I was a child I remember being in the garden with my mother. I think I was probably about 2 years old at the time. I remember the garden being like a big world waiting to be discovered and wondering what other worlds were over the garden fence.  The grass, flowers, smells and feelings were all exhilarating and exciting. Thinking about that moment in my childhood (as simple as it was) still inspires me even to this day.

In primary school I was excited about drawing and making stuff. It was my favorite time of the school day. I think creativity excites all of us and helps us get into “the zone” – a state of flow when we are one with what we are doing. We feel part of something bigger than ourselves and it gives us purpose.
